Hello there my friends

Well I guess it's about time to play catch up again. I will admit it's been kinda crazy around my house. We took Ace to the Neurologist and He said that Ace is still having spastic muscles in his legs so we are going to another orthopedist in Huntsville. Then last Friday he was running in the house and fell ( not uncommon ) but this time a HUGE knot popped out on the side of his head and turned black and purple. He kept on crying and then vomited and just passed out. So we went to the ER and he had a severe concussion. Just another reason we have to stay on top of his leg issues. He's clumsy but he just has more than normal accidents.

Last Wednesday I got a call saying one of our family friends( who we go to church and also played all stars with Preston. Preston adores Sawyer , I love his mom Susan and Josh loves his Dad Ricky. They are really truly some wonderful people that I am glad we have gotten to know) ( WAYYY OFF TRACK SORRY) But anyway Sawyer had had an accident. He and his twin brother and sisters were riding on a trailer hooked to a four wheeler driven by their dad. They were going down a hill and it got kinda bumpy and the trailer came unhitched. Rickey slammed on the brakes to try and get the trailer to slam into the four wheeler but it turned. The tongue of it dug into the gravel and catapulted ( Ricky's words) the kids into a brier patch. And Sawyer's leg got stuck into the mud and the trailer hit him. It broke the lower part of his left leg and both bones were twisted at a 180 degree turn. When I got that call my stomach just dropped. When I hear of children being injured it tears me up. So we go to the Emergency Room in Columbus ( where Susan was working) and as I began to walk down the hall to find his room I see this beautiful face between two curtains. And it was sweet Sawyer. He was laying in his bed with a scratched up face. He had a good dose of pain medicine going so he wasn't hurting. He never once cried while we were in the room except when his mom told him that he couldn't eat. He was starving but to do the surgery he couldn't eat. After surgery he had 4 pins running through both bones from one side of his leg to another. And rods that connected the pins to stabilize his bones. It was way too bad of a break to just add rods to the bones internally. They casted over everything so he won't be able to mess it up. He will have that for 6 weeks then go back and have surgery to remove all that and have a normal cast for 4 more weeks. We visited him today and he is just an amazing little boy. He had such good spirits. He was smiling when we got there and he was being moved from his wheelchair to the couch bed. He will be in the wheelchair because he cannot put ANY weight on it while he has the pins and rods. But he does have a walker and crutches. But I just can't believe what a tough little man Sawyer is. This little picture below is a phenomenon. ALL THE KIDS ASLEEP IN ONE BED!! And not mine. Preston went down first. Then AliPiage followed behind him and Ace just jumped in with them. I couldn't believe it. I didn't even tell them to do it. But I promise it hasn't happened every night since.



Well it finally happened. On July 25th AliPaige FINALLY had her birthday party. Cause as most of you know it had been her birthday EVERY DAY since July the 6th. Cause it's not over til you have a party. Here are a few pictures from the event.

And on that last picture. We would like to announce the Gregory house is no longer a household of 5. We are a family of 6. My 17 year old sister from Kentucky came to live with us last week. It is a blessing and we are truly blessed with her decision to come live with us. She is enrolled in school and will be graduating from the same school as her older sisters. Now if I can get use to having a teenager in the house. I know how to deal with a 6,4,2 yr old but not 17. She is not a problem child so that is a blessing in it's self.

It's my B*I*R*T*H*D*A*Y WHOOHOO

Yes that's right today I am 25 yrs old ( and 1461 days making me 29). Ha. Yea that's the truth TWENTY NINE. It's the last year I get to say I'm twenty something. But it's like I told my sister in law it beats the alternative. I had a pretty good day. Laura came over and we just chilled out,then I got the kids ready for VBS and we went to that. And I got such a blessing when I got there. All the kids sang to me. Which really made my day. Then Josh comes walking in the Sanctuary while we were all in there and he brought in a gigantic cake ( made by his mom) That was delicious. It was home made with home made icing. So good. And I got a bunch of Happy birthdays and a few gifts. See below



A heart shaped mirror compaque and initial bracelet ( Lindsey) a beautiful saphire and diamond bracelet ( mom - in - law) and it's all on top of my GALz ( GordoAlabamaLadies) shirt ( seceret sister). I love t-shirts. So this was perfect. I wore my inital bracelet all night. I am so thankful to everyone who made my day special.. THANKS






I also took a few more pictures tonight at VBS. The kids had a great time and it was the last night. It was rainy and stormy so we were all couped up inside but it never phased them. We had so much fun this week. I got a blessing from working with them. I was always afraid to step out of my comfort zone and voluteer to help with these things but I am so happy I decided to. I really enjoyed it.

This is Ace as I was uploading the pictures. He just HAD to sit on my lap. But after 2 seconds he said he was " fweepy" sleepy. And this is what happened shortly after. He is such a sweet little man. I am going to miss these days when he no longer wants to sit in mommy's lap and cuddle. So I take advantage of it everytime I get.

Endometreosis in 2001 and was told I would have difficulties having kids but 7 months later I was pregnant , Birth of my three kids, surgery to repair the birth of my first ( yeah don't go there) ,sinus surgery, and so many overnight stays for migraines it's not possible to count them

P - Pet Peeve: smacking, slurping, crunching, and noise while eating - whinny kids - bratty kids- and ungrateful people

S - Siblings: 1 sister- Sabrina (31) 1 half-sister Kelley(17) one half brother-Trent (12), one step -sister Wendy(29) and one step brother Will (29). I love them all dearly but unfortunately I don't ever get to see ANY of them. They are scattered all the way from Mobil Al, to Franklin Ky.

T - Time you wake up: Oh I wake up all the time 1, 3, 5 but I get up around 9 if we don't have school, but about 6:30 otherwise

U - Underwear: is a good thing to have. but always clean of course

V - Vegetable you dislike: well use to I would say ALL of them but I have been trying a lot of them the past year and I like pretty much all of them so far.

W - Ways/Reasons you run late: OH no no no no. I don't do LATE. I am always early if I am on time I am late. I hate to be late

X - X-rays you've had: Head, neck, chest, tummy, arm, leg, teeth, Yeah that pretty much covers it

Y - Yummy food you make: That would be my Cheese potato soup. OR chili ( man this makes me wish it was 40 degrees outside)

Z - Zoo animals you like: the baby gorilla's. SO cute and so sweet. But when I was at the San Diego Zoo we got to see a famous Koala that had been name from someone in China ( that's why I can't remember it's name) but it was a World wide contest to name it. It was really the cutest thing there.

Well Ace's had his birthday party Saturday and it was looking kinda slim to begin with. But after a while the people started to roll in. I also had a special cake made for Josh and this is the cake you see Ace eating. He liked it more than his. I guess deep down he knew it would be much much messier than his own. But it was too cute watching him eat it. He got a lot of nice presents and not to mention MONEY. It's hard to believe that my little man is TWO. My how the time files when you have kids. They are such a blessing from God. As a parent you want to watch them grow and be successful in everything they do. But deep down I wish they would stay little forever that way I could just keep them innocent and all mine for ever. Ace has grown so much and come so far in the past few months. He is such a joy to have in my life. And at church tonight I asked for a special Prayer for him as we go to the neurologist next week and one of the moms said that he just lit up the room when he comes in. And she is right he has become quite the social butterfly I never thought he would be. He is actually turning into a normal two year old. I still feel like his mental state is still behind for his age. He understands and comprehends what you tell him but sometimes I am unsure just what all he and process. Lite telling him No and trying to discipline him. We can't just pop his legs because of him muscle ( or whatever) problems would be like torture to him. So I do pop his hands trying to teach him right from wrong but I feel so bad for him cause I really don't know if he understands sometimes that what he is doing is wrong and then he gets in trouble for it and he just looks devastated. But I just keep praying that he will catch up and we will have no pain, no therapies, and no more problems. I know one day I will be able to look back and say " See what God did in my life" He is working on him we just have a few more little things to repair. I am so blessed with the family and friends to help me along the way. I am truly blessed with everyone in my life . I have a amazing Husband and he is becoming more and more amazing to me everyday. I am so blessed I can't put it into words. I have the BEST friends and the BEST Family including my in-laws. I guess I lucked up on that one. And my Church family has just blown me away . I never knew that there were such caring people out there. They have adopted my family as their own. I just love know that my children WANT to get up and go to church and they ask how many more days til church. Even Ace knows what a bible is and he tries to say his prayers. It's so cute. The older two fight over who says the blessing. AliPaige's version goes a little something like this " God is great God is good I pray the Lord my soul to keep AMEN!" But hey she tries. Well I guess I have rambled on for too long. I need to get ready for bed. SCHOOL is back in tomorrow!
