Normal? What's that?

Okay so it's been a long time once again since I have been on here. Sorry. It's been a little busy here lately. With the kids out of school for Christmas and then attempting to try and get into a routine once they went back. It's just been a little out of whack around the Gregory house. The kids have all been pretty good. With the exceptions of the runny noses and occasional coughing her and there.

Mama has started her Chemo. She actually had her second treatment last Wednesday. She's doing pretty good with them. They do make her really tired and weak a few days afterwards. She has 4 more treatments to go then they will start radiation. She will have treatments 5 days a week for 7 weeks. Which isn't that great because it takes her over an hour to get there and then another trip back home but she said she'd do what ever it takes to get better. It's frustrating for me to see her have to go through this and there isn't a thing I can do. I hate to see her sick and tired. And then we went shopping for a new " hair do" on Monday. She has one now that looks good but I'm not use to the short hair just yet. And I know she's not feeling that great about losing her hair either but it's a sign that the chemo is at work. And that's just how we have to look at it. Yes it is an actual sign you can see that cancer has affected her and it is sad to see it but at the same time I have to think that God's grace is sufficient and He will give all the strength and love that we need through this. She will be carried when she can do it on her own and so will I. I am curious to see what her new hair will look like once it comes in. I'm praying that she will not get to sick from the chemo and that this will hurry up and go by quickly. I'm ready to get the test results that say " It's ALL gone!" To be done and over with.

Well I am going to leave you with a few random pictures from Christmas because what is a blog with no pictures:)

Ace getting ready to go to Grandmama's.
Preston lost his first tooth the day after Christmas!
Preston's Santa stash. ( Complete with a letter telling him to look outside for his last present.)

Ace's goodies.

And of course AliPaige's presents.

My brother came to visit for Christmas and this is Me, Kelly, and Trent.

Preston's last present.

This is how he fell asleep in my lap the night before Christmas as I was finishing up some work on the computer.

Our sweet little Christmas Tree. Minus the bow. Had to get my mother in law to fix one up for me.

And Preston's 7th Birthday Party.
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New year. I hope I will be back on here again before the next little munchkin has a birthday.

Oh Happy Day

Well I know once again it's been another long time between posts. But I am learning just how busy your life gets with a teenager. But I am also so blessed by God for allowing me to have this opportunity to bring my sister in my home. She has been such a wonderful addition to our home. When she moved here I was able to share with her all the wonderful things God has blessed me with and also introduced her to our church family. They took her in as one of their own. She has blended in just fine. She has made such wonderful friends and they have witnessed to her and three and a half weeks ago she gave her life to God. I felt like it was another on of my children when she talked to me about it. I cried like a baby afterwards I felt like maybe I had a little influence on that and that God was able to shine through me into her. And I am so proud of the decisions she has made. This past Sunday she was baptized.Of course it was a big day. My dad had the chance to come down from Denver. Just a coincidence though. He was coming on this weekend anyway but it just fell into place. My mom also came to support her and my Grandmama and Uncle Mike were also there. And the WHOLE football team was there so she had a little more to be anxious about. But what a testimony to show those guys. The church was packed. No seats anywhere. They had to bring in extra seats to place in the isle to accommodate everyone. But I am so blessed to have this wonderful family.

These are just a few snap shots from Dad's camera. If it comes up missing Dad I swear I don't know where it's at. just don't look in my purse. Just Kidding. Although I would love to have it I guess I will wait til I hit the lottery to get my own.

Come on Kelly you could smile
Well folks that's about it. Ace had special instructions therapy last week and it's going pretty smoothly. We have speech therapy today and then we are still waiting on the Neurologist to call back about his appointment with the orthopedic specialist in Huntsville. Hopefully they will get him in soon. AliPaige was a little devastated when she wasn't able to start school this year but we have her on a waiting list at the pre-K in Carrollton so let's all pray someone will drop out. She has all her supplies and backpack just waiting to be used. And Preston is doing really good in school so far he loves his classmates and his teacher is doing a really good job with them and I am happy with who he got now. I was unsure of her at first just because I had not heard of her from anyone before and I didn't know much about her but she is super sweet and she seems to be enjoying our boys so far.
I hope everyone has a blessed week. And hopefully I will be updating you sooner than later.

Okay play time's over.....

Well it's that time again. School time. Monday August the 10th Prestons days of sleeping in were over. He began the first grade. It was sad. He is no longer the baby in school anymore. But it was still exciting going into the new classroom with alot of his friends. He is excited and I hope he does just as well this year as he did last year. Here are a few picture from that day.
Preston all ready to leave for school.

First morning to get up early in a looong time.

Little Miss Ava waiting on Big Brother Jack

For some reason my computer is running WAYYYYYY slow and right now I have no patients to take 2 minutes per picture to ad a caption. Sorry. But those were a few of the pictures of the events of First day of First grade. I still can't believe I have a child that is 6 years old. I am so blessed with all that I have. Kelly is fitting in perfectly in 12th grade. She has made a lot of friends and I am so proud of all that she has accomplished just in the short amount of time since she has been here. She will be baptized this Sunday which makes my heart just swell up with happiness. If that was the only thing that came from her coming here to me that would be enough. Knowing she has eternal salvation and that she is with family makes me so happy. I am blessed to be given this opportunity to take her in my home and be a part of this chapter in her life. I know that she will do great things and accomplish her goals and I am just as happy as if were my own child. She is such a blessing to my family. I couldn't imagine her being anywhere else.

I hope you all have a great weekend
