Oh Happy Day

Well I know once again it's been another long time between posts. But I am learning just how busy your life gets with a teenager. But I am also so blessed by God for allowing me to have this opportunity to bring my sister in my home. She has been such a wonderful addition to our home. When she moved here I was able to share with her all the wonderful things God has blessed me with and also introduced her to our church family. They took her in as one of their own. She has blended in just fine. She has made such wonderful friends and they have witnessed to her and three and a half weeks ago she gave her life to God. I felt like it was another on of my children when she talked to me about it. I cried like a baby afterwards I felt like maybe I had a little influence on that and that God was able to shine through me into her. And I am so proud of the decisions she has made. This past Sunday she was baptized.Of course it was a big day. My dad had the chance to come down from Denver. Just a coincidence though. He was coming on this weekend anyway but it just fell into place. My mom also came to support her and my Grandmama and Uncle Mike were also there. And the WHOLE football team was there so she had a little more to be anxious about. But what a testimony to show those guys. The church was packed. No seats anywhere. They had to bring in extra seats to place in the isle to accommodate everyone. But I am so blessed to have this wonderful family.

These are just a few snap shots from Dad's camera. If it comes up missing Dad I swear I don't know where it's at. just don't look in my purse. Just Kidding. Although I would love to have it I guess I will wait til I hit the lottery to get my own.

Come on Kelly you could smile
Well folks that's about it. Ace had special instructions therapy last week and it's going pretty smoothly. We have speech therapy today and then we are still waiting on the Neurologist to call back about his appointment with the orthopedic specialist in Huntsville. Hopefully they will get him in soon. AliPaige was a little devastated when she wasn't able to start school this year but we have her on a waiting list at the pre-K in Carrollton so let's all pray someone will drop out. She has all her supplies and backpack just waiting to be used. And Preston is doing really good in school so far he loves his classmates and his teacher is doing a really good job with them and I am happy with who he got now. I was unsure of her at first just because I had not heard of her from anyone before and I didn't know much about her but she is super sweet and she seems to be enjoying our boys so far.
I hope everyone has a blessed week. And hopefully I will be updating you sooner than later.

Okay play time's over.....

Well it's that time again. School time. Monday August the 10th Prestons days of sleeping in were over. He began the first grade. It was sad. He is no longer the baby in school anymore. But it was still exciting going into the new classroom with alot of his friends. He is excited and I hope he does just as well this year as he did last year. Here are a few picture from that day.
Preston all ready to leave for school.

First morning to get up early in a looong time.

For some reason my computer is running WAYYYYYY slow and right now I have no patients to take 2 minutes per picture to ad a caption. Sorry. But those were a few of the pictures of the events of First day of First grade. I still can't believe I have a child that is 6 years old. I am so blessed with all that I have. Kelly is fitting in perfectly in 12th grade. She has made a lot of friends and I am so proud of all that she has accomplished just in the short amount of time since she has been here. She will be baptized this Sunday which makes my heart just swell up with happiness. If that was the only thing that came from her coming here to me that would be enough. Knowing she has eternal salvation and that she is with family makes me so happy. I am blessed to be given this opportunity to take her in my home and be a part of this chapter in her life. I know that she will do great things and accomplish her goals and I am just as happy as if were my own child. She is such a blessing to my family. I couldn't imagine her being anywhere else.

I hope you all have a great weekend

It's Hump Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well so far we have had a pretty exciting week. These are a few pictures I have taken so far. This was Sunday night AliPaige was helping pass the time while he did his breathing treatment. I thought it was sweet.
She was reading the princess book to him.
He finally acted interested.

On Monday we had Splish Splash Day at the school with Preston's class from noon till 2pm. The kids really had a lot of fun. They had two blow up slides and several other water activities for the kids and Preston's cousin Taylor was there playing baseball with the kids.

Preston and Suzanna up on the slide ready to go down!
On Tuesday I had a hair appointment. So I have a before and after picture. Preston also had a game but I didn't make it thanks to these wonderful headaches. AHHH you got to love the change in the weather.

Before After
Okay I couldn't help it. You always see in those hair magazines the before pictures look like they are taken at 3am and that they are a DUI mug shot picture. Luckily for you folks I had a horrible headache and it actually looks like I could pass for a 3 am DUI mug shot. But sorry not that interesting. After getting the kids dropped off and getting my hair done I really had a nice headache because there were three perms going on right around me at the beauty shop. HOW SMELLY!! But I really like my hair and after a trip to the Med Center South my headache is long gone. And I am ready for the rest of the week.
Wednesday was really exciting and sad all in one. It was Preston's last day of kindergarten. He had his award ceremony and then we went to his room one last time to gather all his things and tell Mrs. Chapman good bye. It's really tough though. It seems just like yesterday we were in her room for registration and then I was meeting Angela, Holly and Brandy up at Roosters for breakfast. Then we all cried as we walked our little men to class for the first time. Then today it was kinda the same little walk. As we walked out of the classroom down to our cars knowing that our kids are no longer the babies at school. And that the next time they are "OUT" of school they will be LEGAL!!!!!! That is scary. It's sad cause I really don't want my kids to grow up in this world. It not all roses out there. But hopefully these kids will change the future. And it will be much better than it is now. I really hope that from now on we are blessed with an amazing teacher like Mrs. Chapman. It breaks my heart knowing that he can't have her every year. She has set the bar HIGH for the rest of the teachers at GES. I know that she truly cares for those kids and she pushed them to their limits to learn as much as possible. I just HOPE AND PRAY ( seriously) that my other two children will get her. I hope she hangs in there for 4 more years that way Ace could get her. But I know I can't pick and choose who I get for my kids. But I am so proud of Preston for all the accomplishments he made this year and I know he is ready for 1st grade and that he will always make me proud and never let me down. He is a smart kid and I hope he stays that way.

Up Close
Well that's all I have so far this week. I guess that's enough. But I hope the rest of the week goes as smoothly as the first has ( except for the headache). I hope everyone has a great week and weekend and everyone traveling please be careful.

I know it's been a while so we will play catch up

Well I am sorry it's been a while since my last post. We have been non stop with baseball and church and doctors. Not to mention Josh is working and working and working so we have been on the go go go by ourselves. Ready for a vacation. Seriously. All three of the kids have had fifths disease. Not to bad just a lot of itching and serious rash. Looks like poison ivy everywhere. Ace is having some tough Asthma issues. But we are dealing with them. Preston is winding down his first year of school. And (not to brag) but he is scoring extremely high on his tests. I am so proud of him. AND he got saved!!!!!! Waiting on Dad to be off so he can get baptized. I have had some rough headaches but I am going to the doctor tomorrow so hopefully we will get that under control. But I am blessed with some great friends who come to my rescue when they knock me down. But anyway here are a few pictures from this past few days/week.

Preston sitting and waiting on his turn at the kindergarten play. Love the hair.

This week we had a Game on Tuesday. It wasn't in our favor.( OF COURSE) But never the less the little fellas and girls played their hearts out. Still can't blame them for the lack of practice.

Preston Playing the Circle. My big boy

Preston, Ace, AliPaige and Chloe at church sitting under the stairs. All innocent.

. Nana and AliPaige at Preston's play. Of course the Camera died when it came Preston's turn to get up and dance:(

Today ( Wednesday ) AliPaige decided to cut her hair. Well it wasn't very good so I had to make an emergency trip to the Salon. And We ended up losing about 4-5 inches of hair. It was pretty dramatic telling the "Dad" but she sure does look cute with her new hair do.

AliPaige and her new do!!!!!

KP and AliPaige at church tonight

On Tuesday we took Ace to Children's for another opinion. And I ABSOLUTALLY love this doctor. He is Dr. Drew Davis and he is a rehabilitation specialist. He says that he would consider Dr.McCarty's ( Neurologist) diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy accurate considering all that Ace went through after he was born and all the developmental delays. So he is not going to stop until we find out what is going on with Ace and his legs. This is a B*L*E*S*S*I*N*G*!!!! Every other doctor said they couldn't find anything and would just send us home. I am so thankful that I got in touch with this doctor. And I am thankful that Joy Harless referred me to him.We also had a HUGE blessing this week also. On Thursday we had speech therapy and the therapist said that Ace where he should be age wise. So we are going to have him re-evaluated and hopefully discontinue his speech therapy. YEAHHHHHHH! SO EXCITED about that. God is working a miracle in the Gregory house. WHOO HOOO.

Ace and AliPaige were entertaining themselves by looking over the rails to the lower floor while we waited to see the doctor.

Well maybe she wasn't so entertained.
Well that's all for now. Hopefully it won't take as long to post next time.
Have a blessed week.
Love
LeighAnne
